Beginning Fly Tying

Learn the the skills to start tying your own flies. This class is geared toward the beginner or those with limited tying experience and starts from the very ground up. You will start tying flies from the beginning of the class  and progress to more complex flies as the class advances. All the flies you tie will be some of the most tried and tested patterns in the fly fisherman's arsenal and patterns that are definitely useful for this area. We provide all the materials and tools, you just show up and enjoy. Two words of warning however: (1) taking up fly tying will make you a better angler which could lead to some sore shoulders (2) fly tying can be very addictive which means your spouse will have to deal with all those dead animal parts around the house - we'll leave that one to you.

Class Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Class Duration: Three Evenings
